Bookings
Fill in the form to make a booking request - contact
All quotes are not bookings and are subject to availability.
A deposit of 50% is required to confirm the booking date.
The balance is due one week before pick-up/delivery.
Payments can be made by direct credit (account details provided on confirmation).
Transporting
Always pick-up your cake from the bottom, if you pick the box up from the sides you may damage your cake or drop it.
Place the cake in your car footwell or empty boot, they need a flat surface - the seat or someone’s lap is not a flat surface.
Make sure your car is cool (air con on high in the summer) , and you do not have the heating on.
Deliveries
Delivery is available upon request, and the following rates apply;
Taupo CBD, Richmond Heights, Tauhara and Hilltop - $15
Nukuhau, Wharewaka - $20
Acacia Bay, Wairakei, 5 Mile Bay - $35
Kinloch, Broadlands - $60
Turangi - $110
Omori, Kurutau - $140
A charge of $10 applies for any after hours deliveries.
No pick-ups/deliveries on Sundays.
Once delivered/picked-up, and change of hands has been completed with the product in appropriate condition, it is then up to the Customer to store and care for the cake as per Kootcakes instructions.
cake care
Please keep your cake in the fridge until an hour before you want to serve it, cakes are best served at room temperature.
All my cakes are buttercream cakes and butter melts if it gets too hot - do not display the cake in direct sunlight.
Be aware tiered cakes have support dowels and cake boards within the cake.
Some toppers may have toothpicks/wires within for strength/balance.
CancelLations
There is a 25% non-refundable charge for bookings cancelled prior to 14 days of pick-up/delivery.
And a 50% non-refundable charge for bookings cancelled within 14 days of pick-up/delivery.
No refunds available for bookings cancelled within 3 days of pick-up/delivery.
Should Covid-19 disrupt your celebration, Kootcakes will transfer your deposit to another available date.
ORDERS
Any product ordered from a picture or photo, of a product produced by any other cake maker, can only be reproduced by Kootcakes as our interpretation of that product and will NOT be an exact reproduction of the product.
Once the item has left the premises, the Customer has accepted the item as is, and is responsible to ensure that the product/s gets to the destination safely and is stored as per instructions from Kootcakes to achieve best results for taste and quality and to avoid any damage.
If there is an issue with the cake, please inform Kootcakes within 24 hours.
ALLERGenS
Please be aware that I use flour, butter, milk, eggs, nuts and soybean products in my kitchen, so their may be traces of these allergens.
It is the responsibility of the Customer to inform Kootcakes at the time of their booking, of any allergy / intolerance issues. It is then the responsibility of the Customer to inform their guests of all allergy / intolerance information, and accordingly Kootcakes will not be held liable for any allergic reaction resulting from consumption of the cake.
